中國國民黨今天舉行全國代表大會，在國民黨主席朱立倫、總統馬英九等黨內重量級人士支持下，全場黨代表鼓掌通過，立法院副院長洪秀柱確定獲提名，參選二○一六年總統大選。
中國國民黨第十九次全國代表大會下午在國父紀念館舉行，洪秀柱在歡呼聲中上台，由朱立倫授予戰旗。
洪秀柱在朱立倫、馬總統、副總統吳敦義、前主席連戰、吳伯雄、前副總統蕭萬長、立法院長王金平等黨內重量級人士支持下，揮舞戰旗，象徵旗開得勝，力拚二○一六勝選。
原本傳出全代會可能會有黨代表對總統提名表示異議，但今天在會場，全體黨代表一致鼓掌通過，並沒有黨代表要求表決。
此外，獲國民黨提名參選第九屆立法委員者逐一在司儀介紹下進場，朱立倫一一加油打氣，高喊「凍蒜」，宣示力拚國會過半。
馬總統在全代會第一次大會通過洪秀柱提名前致詞表示，看到朱立倫在過去這段時間勵精圖治，開始一步一步的開始往前邁進。相信在朱立倫主席跟各位先進的領導之下，一定能夠開創新局，一掃去年失敗陰霾，讓國民黨再度站起來。
馬總統並指出在野黨的候選人說要維持現狀，「她只有願景，但是她沒有提出方法，不能只有目的論，而沒有方法論，否則的話我們會看不到她怎麼去實現？」
朱立倫稍早致詞時表示，去年九合一選舉敗選後，很多人唱衰國民黨，可是他在基層依然看到、聽到、接觸到，許許多多關心台灣前途，關心兩岸未來的民眾。民眾熱切地告訴他，國民黨是台灣穩定的力量，是台灣能夠維持和平的根本，國民黨不能倒，國民黨要為台灣繼續堅強地承擔責任。
